SHAPING A HOME FOR PLACE-BASED RESEARCH

THE FIRST STEP: A RESEARCH STRATEGY
WHAT ARE THE PRIORITIES?

APRIL 5TH 1:00PM AUCKLAND, THE CUBE
APRIL 8TH 5:30PM WELLINGTON, VUW

Taiao, whenua, rural landscapes, cities, urban places – together, landscapes in the widest sense - are in constant change.

The issues facing us in the present occupy the day-to-day realities of professional practitioners, academics and communities.

Research is a key aspect of modern practice to understand change and look to the future, to provide an evidence base for decision makers.

A Research Hub is our vision - a system, a network and a database to support and coordinate research about landscape change.

A Research Strategy is the first step, to set the priorities for research that will populate a Hub.

Joint event with UDF, NZILA, Nga Aho and others to be confirmed.

Landscape affects every one of us, whether we were born here, are now living here, or whether we are travelling through New Zealand. Landscape affects our aspirations, the places we live in, who we are and what we identify with.
