And the winner is...

Congratulations to Al Newsome

The Landscape Foundation photographic competition 2017 sought images from across Aotearoa/New Zealand’s cultural landscapes, seascapes, and urban environments, under the theme “Landscape at the Edge”.

The winning image is of a vacant lot between two buildings, with weeds beginning to flourish, in Glen Innes titled What is its Potential?

Al Newsome is the unanimous winner of the Landscape Foundation Photo Competition prize, a Nikon Key Mission 170 - with a body that’s waterproof, dust-proof, shockproof and freeze-proof.

A special thank you...

To the three judges: Adrian Malloch, Tony Bridge and Dr Diane Menzies who gave a considerable amount of their time to view the extensive amount of entries received and had to make what must have been a difficult decision in picking the supreme winner.

Landscape Foundation

Landscape affects every one of us, whether we were born here, are now living here, or whether we are travelling through New Zealand. Landscape affects our aspirations, the places we live in, who we are and what we identify with.
